International Symposium on Social Studies Education- USBES 2025
Call for Papers
The International Symposium on Social Studies Education (USBES), which is organised in cooperation with the Association of Social Studies Educators (SBEBD), brings together all stakeholders involved in the adventure of Social Studies Education every year in a different city.
This year, the 13th International Symposium on Social Studies Education will be held in Tokat, one of the most cultural and historical cities of Anatolia. The symposium aims to discuss different perspectives in the context of social studies education, share current research findings and create opportunities for new collaborations. From this point of view, we are pleased and honoured to invite all stakeholders (academics, teachers, prospective teachers, non-governmental organisations and related institutions and organisations) working in the field of social studies education and interested in the field to the symposium, which is planned to be held between 15-17 May 2025.
The main theme of the 13th International Symposium on Social Studies Education is ‘Social Studies Education and Sustainable Development Goals’, which is one of the most important issues of today's world. Within the framework of this theme, the role and importance of social studies education in achieving sustainable development goals will be discussed, and current approaches and practices in this field will be shared. The sub-themes of the symposium are presented below.
