CALL FOR PAPERS

International Symposium on Social Studies Education- USBES 2026

Call for Papers

Organized in collaboration with the Association of Social Studies Educators (SBEBD), the International Symposium on Social Studies Education (USBES) brings together all stakeholders involved in the field of social studies education each year in a different host city.

The 14th International Social Studies Education Symposium will be held this year in Erzurum, the land of the Dadaşes. The symposium aims to facilitate the discussion of diverse perspectives within the context of social studies education, share current research findings, and create opportunities for new collaborations. In this spirit, we are pleased and honored to invite all stakeholders working in or interested in the field of social studies education—including academics, teachers, pre-service teachers, civil society organizations, and relevant institutions and organizations—to the symposium, which is scheduled to take place from May 20–22, 2026.

The main theme of the 14th International Symposium on Social Studies Education has been determined as “Social Studies Education in the Digital World,” one of the most critical issues of today’s world.
